Hello,

I have just invested in alot of new gear but don't have a clue how to set it up....

I have:

iMac (latest OSX)
Logic Pro 9
Access Virus B
Saffire PRO 24 audio/midi device
Alesis Q25 Midi keyboard
Resolv 120a Subwoofer
2 Yamaha HS-50M Monitors.....

Saffire Pro 24 is connected to iMac via firewire lead aswell as The Sub being connected to the Saffire and Yamahas connected to sub. Audio works fine out of logic, can hear everything!!

The main problem I am having is the Virus...

Alesis midi controller (midi out) is plugged in to the Virus (midi in). The Virus (midi Out) is plugged into the Saffire Pro (midi in).....

....Load up logic and create new midi instrument, and nothing :(

ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS FILTHY PROBLEM?????? x
Please Help :)

easy as one two three

Download a driver for the virus , mac driver of course..

many midi instruments need a drive which you can download on the site

Just saw your post now.

Well everything should go thru the mac.

So ...

Connect the Q25 to the mac in usb.
Connect the midi in/out of the virus to your saffire

Then when you open logic, it should receive notes from your Q25, and if you create a track connected to the midi out of your saffire it should send the notes to the virus.

And since you connected the midi out, you should be able to record the actions you take on the virus in your sequencer (knobs etc...)
