Glimworm, the Sunday night programme on Ghent’s local radio urgent.fm, is looking for hidden talent! With our new item Mistlicht we want to bring new talent on the radio. As we can’t mix too many genres into one programme, we mostly embrace indie/pop/electronica/postrock… the broad alternative scene.

Once a week we present one band or musician and once a month, we work together with the digital magazine Cutting Edge for that purpose. The artist(s) we pick together is not only broadcasted on radio, he/she also gets an online review!

Are you such a person who loves making music quietly at night? Can’t you stop yourself from humming tunes which can make you a real singersongwriter? Or have you rallied a group of musicians with whom you hope to become the new Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy or the Belgian B. Fleischmann?

We lend you a listening ear and offer the possibility of being broadcasted.

Glimworm, het zondagavondprogramma van urgent.fm, gaat op zoek naar verscholen parels. Binnen de nieuwe rubriek Mistlicht willen we nieuw, onontgonnen talent een plaatsje op de radio geven. We mikken daarbij op indie/pop/electronica/postrock…het brede alternatieve genre.

Also browse around yourself. There is a vast catalogue of artists here who don't really read the forum all the time. Who knows what kind of hidden pearls you'll discover :)
