pittaman - Set Your Clock

Description

This was an expiriment with time, and an ode to the quite accurate timing precision of a computer.

Next to time, another expiriment was with chance. I made each individual sound in it's own right, with disregard to how they worked together.

Then each sound was constantly repeated. Each sound was however repeated with a different interval. So one sound might be repeated every bar, another every 7 bars. This was chosen quite randomly. In that way, each element of the song was highly repetitive, and this is still reflected in the resulting song, but no second is actually identical to another second in the song.

Anyway, the "set your clock" title points to the fact that you can always expect any sound, once you've heard it twice, and set your clock to it.
