hmmm,............kind of strange strucutre here. I think it needs a remix. Cut the best parts in jigsaw pieces and put them together in a other form....because the good parts are very good !!
;-)

Jacobus [be] - 16 years ago

I expected some Yngwie Malmsteen-style Neo Classical guitar shredding:)
Anyway, very enjoyable piece of music...

haha Kinet, that's what I did with the loveboat ICZ song... cut in pieces and rearranged and added some parts...
Yes, maybe some progressions are a bit abrupt... but it's the way I liked it best... believe me, I heard my own song about 40 times indifferent sructures and this is what pleased me most.

no Jacobus, not Malmsteen this time. Got wo metaltracks too if you want (Crushed cans / Word for word and am working on another one, shredding like hell!!!!)

edit: Alain, with what you said in mind I relistened a couple of times more and yes, you are right. I will have to rework this once more. Some transitions are not good.

Good idea, maybe too minimal for call it a "concerto", but the guitars part are very good

youhouw....
thx for the nice comments.
glad u liked it.

I like it, only thing i could say is that your 'overgangen' are too abrupt (for example on 2.19 min when that pad comes in, quite surprising but doesn't do the trick for me) Nice work.

reaman [be] - 16 years ago

yes... I'm aware of it.
Will work on it soon
thx for commenting!

Nice compo. only one thing that bothered me: the violins should be crafted with more precision: envelopes, fade ins/outs, eq with less attenuation on the lower mids.

Distreality [be] - 16 years ago

nice mood again...
your tracks would benefit a lot from vocals imho....

good one !

Ah, so this is the finished version. Didn't notice, I'm commenting on your songs in chronical order ;)

I agree with bandarlog on the violins, they sound a bit harsh. I still miss that subbass, but no one mentiones that, so maybe it's not necessary :p
The new electronic sounds you've added fit this song surprisingly well.

The sound coming in @5'44" is too loud and too abrupt imo. To mask your transitions, you could use a short silence, just a second or so, followed by some sort of background crash of which the attack is turned down (just once of course, if you use this four times, that's a bit overdoing it...)

For me it needs no puzzling, I like this structure as it is. A very good one again, reaman!

...and I'd still like to hear that guitar compo on a harpsichord... ;)

reaman [be] - 16 years ago

well, yenneman, actually it isn't the final version. I'm working on it right now. Sounds will be bigger, structure will be more logic and progressive and I've added a really lovely piece of guitar in the intro...
Thursday I'll be uploading it (i guess)
I'll give that harpsichord a try but might not make it to the final mix...

Some of the comments were constructive and structure was indeed a bit "unstructured".
