cestqui - sweet embrace

Description

its been a while since i produced or been
on e-bel.

i kinda lost the fun out of it,mainly cause cubaze sx is so timeconsuming and holds back my creativeness.

i refound myself due to reason 4.i wrote my best tracks with earlier versions of reason.and i got a taste of ambleton 7.1...i mainly use it for rewiring reason,to boost up the sound and to quickly ad samples, like the sax in this track.

this track is made monotone on purpose,so you drift away in it[dreamy]

i hope you ll be entertained by it as mutch i enjoyed making it and refind my soul,my purpose in life...thats whats matters...having fun

i hope i get as many bad-good comments as i use to.i can always use a pat on the shoulder.so i stick to what i love....music

i hope you all are as happy as me to be back, but it wont be as before,i asure you[positive side]

lot a love and respect to you all, cheers

mjaaam!!! Lovely dream-away tune indeed... Sound's good as always :) Like them strings, clean balanced beat... Sax samp fits excellent!! Only suggestion/remarque is maybe work on a variation or refinement for your piano piece... It might turn out even better then it is allready... Rest is just excellent :) Glad to have you back mate! Grts!

idd long live ableton and reason. btw sounds a bit overcompressed and maybe try the complex stretch method on yer saxy sample.nice song though.good feelings.good vibe and the piano is beetje scheef op de laatste noot maar kinda gives it something dubious.cool

I can't but agree with icteder about the compression, it sounds a bit saturated this way...about the idea, what to say, nice tunes, great saxes, i think i will enjoy it far more with a clean compression.Nice work already, go finish this job :) Grtz

yeah ableton and reason4 in rewire kick ass :))
this is typical cqi-style as we knew it. very good mood, hot, moving, nice melo's...
i'd make this track shorter, otherwise you'll be repeating the same things too much. piano and sax are beautifull, but need variation (it's always the same melo). maybe let the sax play a climaxing solo when the beats comes in after the break. the triggered beat at the end of the break is a bit too "gekunsteld"; perhaps another percussion instrument might do the trick better.
you should also lower the hihats, but a shaker would fit better instead imho (hihats bit too harsh for that sweet mood). offcourse it's all in the details for such a song.
for the rest the same as the others say: redo the mastering, it sound saturated. this track doesn't need that hard compression, let there be good dynamics to bring it more alive.
grtz and welcome back

to be honEst... I'm glad you're back... West-Vlaanderen regains power on Ebel! How's your back?

I've always been a fan of your hihats and crashes, this track has a jazzy feel but the high piano doesn't always fit. It is a bit too upfront for me.

hey nice one! nice dreamy melody, and the last note of those keys idd feels a bit 'scheef', but i think it actually makes the melody cooler and more interesting... the only thing that strikes me as a bit strange is the timing of the bassline at certain points, like it could be a bit 'strakker' in the groove some times. grtz
