eudaimonia - rave against the machines

Description

good old acid trancy oldschool more like my older tracks like blottertotter en spencer dancer( old acount "flostie").
I had 'zirrex' in mind and got closer to him than I ever have I think but he is still miiiiles away :p but the arabic scales and some of the sound strongly remind me of zirrex ... sample from easy riders
the sound is far from clean but that is because I simply don't know how to do that :(

edit: I added some pads to fill it up, put some reverb on the sample, and different bassline ,...

COMMEEEEEENTS! please
peace

very nice flo!
coole sample en mooie melodien
alleen zou ik de sample nog wa bewerken met lichte delay en reverb (maar da's zuiver smaak natuurlijk)

Could be something, but I'd add more fx everywhere (pad, koto, ..) it's really dry now. Sample also needs that.
About the acid lines: they almost always stay in 16th notes, I'd work more on melody, layering, play more with the cut off etc, make it more interesting. Bass needs to be voller too imo.
Keep posting!

I'm just a beginner , cant give feedback like above. listening right now. good beginning, sounds professional imo . good choice of voicesample. Imo the leads are a bit too high pitched, but that's probably just a matter of taste, for the rest I have nothing to complain about.
enjoyed it :).

what? doompater..'your only a beginner'.. that's maybe true (in the dimension of time) but man your songs rock! that's a great complement if you say it sounds professional to you...caus im realy a fan of your songs (slijm slijm)

to djuna yeah maybe a bit to much 16 note acid but I'm kind of addicted to 16 note acidlines :)
and about playing more with the cutoff: my pc doesn't seem to react fast enough if I fool around with the cutoff so if i record its always bit of beat my 'turning the knob'

thanks for the comments everybody
peace!

I always try to be as honest as possible with my comments , the beginning sounded pro to me , then the sound gets too dry but I focussed on your ideas and melodies and I like them. I might be a bit of a slijmer but then that's just me haha. cheers

Nice track. I like a lot of the melodies. Could use some more percussions and pads here and there to fill it up a bit. good work though!
Can I ask how you get those cutoff filters on those melodies sound so nice going up and down? everytime I try doing that it doesn't sound so good

euhm mm yeah I Used allot of abl2 synth I really like that one for the cutt-of acid sounds. I don't know If you are refering to those sounds...I never use an fruity filter or free filter effect on my synths! if I use the cut-off it is the one included in the synth! And real little movements with the cutt of knob sound way better allot of the time then when you go from 0 cutt of to max.
thaks for comment!
peace!

very nice sounds much more full then before the edit. imo it could be a bit harder. And some more change in leads at the end?
Anyway it sounds really oldskoolish you did a great job here . you could certainly put this in your set in 2 weeks imo!
greetings en how is your paper :p

I like the style, oldschool goa trance vibes are really adorable. maybe, true to make the sound more full, add more power to some leads, or add some instruments which play the same melodies on other freq. or add some more voices to the leads u have now?
it sounds good, great flow and harmony anyway
