reaman - endless war (on terror)

Description

Was in NYC in november and saw Ground Zero. It was not that impressive a sight, more like a construction zone. Still, the impact of the images, make it a contemplative site.

Had the idea for the song some time ago but made it tonight in 4 hours (collection of samples incl.)

sorry for the lower rendering quality - I was tired so couldn't wait.

It is about the war on terror and the fact that it will never end.
Used lots of copyrighted stuff (news bulletins and warsounds) - all the rest is mine.

I really like the chord progress! It gives a fantastic mood! Sound could use some work indeed..For examples, some voices are really loud...But I guess you know that yourself... Chords remind me of an AIR song...dunno why...Nice track mate! Grtz

Nice track MAN, REAlly :-) Good mood and atmo Too bad that u used samples of voices But i understand that you couldn't create this mood without them. Good choice of smps and building, layering

Waw... This must be the best I've heard from you so far. This is just excellent pro-stuff. The musical ideas are splendid, the message you're getting across flows along well with the music.
Dark, horror organs, deep-reverbed strings. The mishmash of samples unfolding the chaotic, angstridden turbulence that emerged on 9/11, so perfectly depicted in this song. Indeed a "soundtrack" to the events of that date.

This is a track with a vision, and there aren't too many of those around. +favs & +my amazement.

yes, me to, i'have a track about this event; last minute to ground zero. May be is it a new phylostyle of musique?

reaman [be] - 18 years ago

give me some time, i'll check it out one day...
but did you like it?

brandtkalk [be] - 18 years ago

yes verry emotional! I remember the ambiance at this days and i think , it's a good translation of this moment. The organ may be more behind. and the rythmic may stop at certain moments. I enjoy

Review from the "review the artist above you" forum thread:
This track is more relavant today than ever. It's a very moody and sometimes sad track. The atmosphere is created perfectly and the vocal samples are fine as well.
I must say I like the introduction a lot more than the second part of the track. I guess I like strings more than organs.
Also the transition between the two parts is very abrupt and got me out of the mood the first part brought me in.
To summarize: great atmosphere, good sampling, but largely unfinished track. The seed for a future classic is there.

Still love it (after not having it heard for about 2 years)
