Kong looks really cool, imagine puting auomation on this drum synthetiser making your kiks going mad!
The octorex and neptune can be interesting too but we will see when using them.
But i doubt blocks is really a good idea.. i think it push you to write a all track just by arraging quickly 2 or 3 patern all the way. But may be if you use it in a good way it can be usefull.

WOUUUHHHOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU cant wait to try it, when will it be available?

You can allready register for the beta testing if you really can't wait, otherwise I think it will be release end of summer for the winter studio sessions. :-)
By the way if you allready have rsn4 it's interesting to go now for record for 150euro then you get rsn5 and record 1.5 for free when release. I'm thinking of doing that myself.
@uutegem: vst isn't part of the new update. and imo vst support is not at all the politic of proppeleheads. I think that if you like reason modules but that you would like to use vst too then the best is to use it in rewire (what I do)

reason doesn't need VST!
but if you can't do without, rewire it with ableton or so... the reason why they keep reason closed is because of the cpu power. right now you can create as many synths, samplers... as your system can support. if they would allow vstplugins the cpu-usage would increase enormously --> this is the reason why most vst-sequencers have limited spores.
besides, if you take your time you can create allmost every sound with all the options you have combining all shit together.
and damn it looks good, that octo rex will be uberusefull
and that drumdesigner -drool-
me wanna!!! NOW :D

exactly!
Plus rsn is sooo stable cause of that closed environement. Barely never crashed.
Now what look even greater is that the props says that if you work with reason and record together, it use less cpu than reason on it's own.

not only recieving audio from Reason in Ableton (you know, midifrom ableton=>reason, audio from reason=>ableton), but also audio from Ableton in Reason, to put Reason efx in sounds that are generated in Ableton on the fly

never used it before, but that thingy where they say every sampleplayer becomes a sampler ecourages me to buy a mic and get my hands on a record copy!

@ firefrog: ok I see! I was also interested of doing that espacialy to be able to use Reaso's Scream disto.
Don't you think that with record, there's away to rout ableton's outs to record inputs? It shoul be possible.
in the worth case you can do it phiscally with a sound card and cables... but you would loose some sound quality. And it would'nt be synced neither.

Not yet VST ? Even in Record 1.5 ?It's stupid. It's the Nespresso - Apple syndrom : the closed system for the noobs.
Can they change cheap reverb and delay ? And a real synth (thor mouhaha) please ! not with a cheap plastic sound !! I'm waiting for an improve of the sound since reason 1.0.

ho! didn't know that app. I'll give it a try! looks interesting. Are you using it Akwalek?
Is it syncing the two apps too?

i use it to swith between hardware outputs and to record unrewire-able inputs, but wiretap (best osx recorder ever) is better for that, dont think it has an inbuild midi clock or somethin, so guess there will be no syncin involvedQuote:
