Forum : Suggestions : Some suggestions for the v3

Yesterday at the Admin meeting, i would like to propose some interstings things for the v3. but as i don't come finaly so i will post here these things :

-possibilty to filter user in users menu.

for example : there is a very big number of users inactiv and when i want to discovers some hided artists this is a bit hard.
Also sorting by number of tracks, age, style mostly used can be very useful i think.

-for the thumb system (yes i know it is a critical point ^^)

1.a neutral thumb (like a fuck for example ^^) because sometimes i want to express that i have not opinion.

2.the jamendo, youtube, dailimotion concept off thumb down or thumb up for comment is also intersting. that will maybe reduce the number of comments , but that will improve the quality of the opinion. and maybe whynot a possibilty to answer to a comment directly with a lag on the display.

3.invert the sorting of comment : first is last and last is first, because my mouse wheel is a little hs ^^

so what do think about that :o)

the filter user in menu can be handy...but for the thumb up or down thingie i dunno. If i have no opinion bout a song i don't think it s nececerry to give a thumb anyway. But away with the thumb down i suggest. I never use it cause who the fuck am i to give somebody a thumb down. If you don't like it, just listen to another track.

or maybe add the thumb down directely to the profile who thumbed down, this way, you'dd encourage ppl to leave feedback when they think it sucks, and disable the down-voting when your not logged in ...

a 'tip van de sluier' - a little hint on what is to come (and has been decided on the meeting) - there will be some quotation system BUT!! before you start saying you don't like a star system - await more info about it. It could be useful though to give some positive ideas on how such a quotation could be formed (how it should be 'calculated' or 'given')

I know... at the beginning of the discussion there were a lot of people against it but they all saw the positive need of it instead of the thumb up/down system.
It ís needed in order to get good quality tracks not to drown in the whole bunch of mediocre or crap songs but that's not the only reason.
You'll see - it will only be a benefit - even if you make a bad song. We are here to learn and we don't learn if our befriended users only kiss our ego with positive comments and thumbs up. With the new system you will be able to nuance your opinion about a song. It's not black/white but it will be more like choosing between +5 or -5 (the scale proposed by dtr).

a nuanced quotation looks like a good idea to me. Also I wouldnt restrict voting to registerd user only, let everyone free to vote, its better a bad quotation with no comment then no quotation (and no comment) at all

i'm very curious to saw it.

no im talking about logging out.
i log into the french site (where i reside)
and can easily go to other countries portals without having to log in again.
but when i leave the belgian site for example, im still logged in, unless i press the log out.
it would be good if i didnt have to do that.
if i could just log into 'electrobel' and browse wherever i like
then log out of the whole thing with one click

maybe im the only one to have a look around at the other portals?
but i dont think so

one way to get a higher average track quality is to limit the amount of tracks a user can download per month. This would be an incentive to work a bit longer on a track and/or make already a quality pre-selection yourself before uploading.

Do you really feel that one should upload more than for  example 4 tracks / month  ?
