Forum : E-Bel News : have you seen this? ebel tracks for sale?!
Hi all, It could be a misunderstanding, but i don't think any1 has put our tracks from the dark contest on this site?http://lavamus.com/Album/2369115/Va/Dark_Contest_Compilation/mp3/ I have seen this too with other quioui tracks. People "selling" your shit when you dont even know about it. It"s a shame and honestly a bridge VERY VERY too far from CC licensing. Any1 kwows if there can be done smth against this?

Like that shitty site ever makes any money... Don't get me wrong: it's still an outrage. Well, maybe the hackers amongst us can do some shit to their support mail. This is their email: support@lavamus.com
We can spread that adress on russian sites so their mailbox will be filed with spam. Don't know what else to make their life miserable.

I doubt you'll can do anything against it... we discussed the same problem on the old CCCP board where artists had the same problem but even worse they didn't have a CC license on their music.........

consider it as a kind of appraisal ... don`t get any illussion about the Russians honouring the CC licensing.
BTW ... I think the worst is still to come ... from China ... they`ll probably change it to their own name

this just happens....
even a free release of mine on black hoe gets sold over the internet...
tunes of mine from ebel as well.
But seriously, whos gonna pay money for low quality dnbtrack (being the only people actually paying for dnb are dj's, and they need 320kb/sec or higher) and when they're available free here
and then we can even start nagging about lastFM too
I just don't think its that much of big deal...

Sure it is but bottomline what are you going to do about it?
There's dozen of those sites around. I have found my own compilations for sale, digitally, in dozens of places. Since they were promotional releases, I pity the dumbass buying 'em online.

voila
same way how I feel
now if we are gonna start a moralcrusade, maybe we should start thinking about:
-how wrong it is using presets of vst's in our songs... thats taking credit for other ppls programming!!!
-how wrong it is to using samples of any kind!! (yes, even the amenbreak, naughty naughty, the ppl who made those samples put work in it and we just abuse it for ourselves, naughty naughty)
-how many of us download tracks illigaly on slsk or whatever (ha! nu ek ulder aan ulder pietje)
If we want to change everything thats morraly wrong about producing and the way it is spread, we got lots of work to do

man... you can hardly compare using a vst preset and rippin an album from the other side of the world and try to sell it on your site. Thats 2 VERY different things.
I understand what you say but your pushing the idea too far imho...
Anyway about this shit, its almosta ood thing, i mean its free promotion for us, but im a moral guy -even if i dont look like- and i think what they do is pure bullshit.

hey look at it this way, those sites are making MONEY with your TRACKS, your own emotional assets, your hard work, your little baby's.
if anyone should get some money for it , how little it may be, it should be YOU. and not some soulless uncreative business!
I'm not speaking of the poor guys that pay there money for our free tracks,
I'm speaking about the fucktards that are SELLING your piece of soul.
@ cruize:
-pre-sets where programmed for us to use( as long as you pay for it)(guilty)
- public samples are al right, samples for money also, amen break--fo sure.people are gonna notice that you've sampled the wrong shit.(like an commercial track)
-pirate downloading is bad, but that wont stop me(these artist have the money, i hope).
