I'm going to berlin for 5 days! Leaving this saturday :)
It's such a cool place but actually I wanted to ask here if any boddy would recommend to see somthing particular ? huu abit bizzare question but still
if you have some cool address => art gallery, music store, vinyl store, or what ever
would be cool
offcourse I'll visit the town as a chinese would do but if you have more special orignal cool thing....
Just to make jalous people :) I'm going to see The Panacea huuu probably with full of neo nazi round me
but what's depressing is that the same nite there's also BSE and modeselektor playing pffff all in different places what a choice argh

you definatly must see the jewish museum, the jewish monument (really cool to play hide&seek or tikkerke), the parlement (on top of the roof), the art district (an altenative scene withreally cewl art, from garage to garage). i also recommend to hire a bike and make a bicycle-tour, you'll see much more than with the subway
In "zoologischer garten" (a district in berlin) is a very large vinyl store across the station, also there are very nice art gallery's & museums there, don't know the names & adresses anymore though
I'd recommend doing Icon just for the heck of it. Pretty funny to see that one of the most famous clubs in Berlin turns out to be what you'll see :)
Other than that, just get off at stops like Neukölln and wander around. Then immediately afterwards go to anything in West Berlin and wander around there, and marvel at the differences. Botanischer garten is pretty nice, but they don't really keep it in good shape unfortunately.
Oh and take the zone 3 subway and go visit eh...'Pfauen' island or something. A boat gets you to some sort of island where there's domestic 'pauwen' who come up to you and steal the cheese out of your sandwhich, pretty funny.
I wouldn't recommend the usual places for tourists. You really don't get a feel of Berlin, you just get into a cultural mix of people all wanting to take snapshots while having shops like starbucks etc., nothing really German.
