Little snitch...euh ...
you put the 'factory settings...
need to go to systhem pref and go to the icon of the little wheel and activate the function restor default roules...

it is a pain for the first couple days a after that it will pop up question to allowd or not the permsion to each soft.... at the first time that the soft is trying to use a port/the internet on the computer....
each time if you are i a 'tried' version of it...you say denied ///forever....
and you can pick , a port or any network connection....
personally I only alowd dreamweaver to connect,,,well with audiodesk...
dreamweaver need internet... and audiodesck , wel came wiht my soundcard....
well hard to say more about it...
that maybe requier a chat ,, to be more didactic...
but really , it kept my latop free of trouble wiht 99% of the soft that I use in a 'try version of it' and this for almost a year and a half...
worth to read some doc about it...

Its a great idea to record externally but have you got any idea how you can record externally with mac. Does it require a special program ?

Ableton is crossplatform so you should just go out and buy a copy of Live it will work on both OS's (that is Mac and PC)

hey guys im in the same shit, just "copy protection" message.. i've tried with little snitch, but i don't know wich port i must deny access, and when i open Live there's no popup so, i don't know...

is there anyway a solution, does someone who was fucked up with this protection have find a solution?

So... is there an Ableton 6 for mac cracked yet? I have 5.2 but the crack no longer works, I get the copywright violation message, (I'm sure alot of you know what I'm refering to) any suggestion.

1. the crack in ableton is massive. very difficult to hack
2. buy good programs! you should be grateful for good music progs!

no, there is no working warez version of live6 for mac as far as i know.. for PC on the other hand ;) ;)

On a Mac you can use Garageband. It is free.
There was also a free version of Music Maker with Computer Magazine.
But with the demo version of Live you will be able to play your set too.
But without the ability to save it. But if you play e.g. guitar or sax you cannot save that either. ;-)
But Live is such good software that you can't afford not to buy it (look for second hand bargains on ebay or yezz, or kapaza or meet music.)

I own Live 5 for almost two years I really like the program Nice and easy to use but at some points i really don't know what to think of it. I don't like the way the drum samps eg kick, snare changes when i load it in into live
I mean if i listen to my wave file in a player outside ableton it sounds more clear and how it has to be.
Same thing when i open my Audio Units (VST-PC) into ableton The same preset doesn't sound that clear and good than when i open the AU as a stand alone or i open it in Garage Band it sounds way better.
Don't wanna say that Ableton is bad, but in my opinion it needs a better sound interface.
I still use it coz' don't have any money to buy me Logic Express When times are better i'll buy it and than i'll use ableton to play my live set.
One question I don't understand it I have a Imac G5 2 Ghz and when i open two AU's with some FX over my cpu is at almost 100 percent.
Before i had a Acer Centrino 1,3 Ghz P4 Whit the pc i could open at least 7 vsts and lot's of Fx at the same time. I thought my mac would open more or at least the same amount of VST like my laptop.
PS i have a Edirol FA101 soundcard and i have at this moment a latency of 23 ms This is too much imo

u can download ableton for mac http://www.ableton.com/free-trial  u just put bullshit@blabla.com and get a key wich is valid for 14 days.. i've been doing this for 3 months now and it has no limitations. u actualy dont have to download the program for a new key just click on product registration  :-)

i bought mine a year ago, and never been happier. feels good to pay for well made software (even more when u can profit from the student discount ^^)

just buy it, at least your main operating programme should be legal..

I bought Live 7 a few months ago for my mac, but on my windows laptop I still have the cracked Live 7 Suite version with all the instruments, those are a bit too expensive. But I agree with the rest. You should buy good programs, I payed 209EUR for Live 7 download (edu price)
