HyeVolture - akrasia

Description

long time since I made a whole song. I worked on this one for quite a time. Laptopcrash forces me to upload the best I had (let's say I could've made some details better, but this version is 99 procent of what it would've been without the crash).

Akrasia is een greek concept, meaning 'the loss of self control'. This song contains two parts: one introduction part with a theory of the birth of incontinent dance music (some kind of joke, incontinence is like akrasia in a physical manner), and the actual song where akrasia is like "losing yourself, due to fate, coincidence, things you can't control....)

about mix and mastering: was a tough one and didn't work out like I wanted because I ain't a professional producer, but when you have tips and tricks about making a climax with a lot of vsts's sound great like phil spector or trent reznor, you can always help me with that).

or just listen without saying a word ;)

goodtrack mister volturemeister!
i like the epic mood, maybe if you tweak some notes here and there that mood gets stronger
i also like the evolution in some kind of electronic grunge, good work!

music that reflects the act of thinking....the smooth vibe reflects the secureness being in your own thoughts, the occasional dissonants used reflect the natural doubts, dare I say fears, incertanties wich makes it a verry real/realistic mood

the "prrrrrah-ga-tah!" is an element that absolutely MUST be used or re-used in a new track
Track based on that kinda selfexpression only.

100% is impossible

groeten

heard the album 'Hidden' by 'These New Puritans'? you need to check the song 'we want war' (& the rest), the style reminds me a bit of them. I like how you express yourself and think you have a very broad potential in creating very good music.

Great sound of the distorted guitar and the piano fits perfectly in the atmo. But is it possible that I hear a few onzuivere notes in the vocals? (2, 3tal keer maar ze)

Overall massive thumb up kerel!

@ skip: very expressive words, cool comment to read.
