HyeVolture - ghost lights in the gloam

Description

my first track to record my guitar with my audio interface. no intention to compete with tom dice, nor other guitar players, since I'm a rookie on the guitar for five, six years and I use it with my own limitations.

a song about doubt, fear.

genre must be genuine chamber music.

things could be improved, but only if you want to release it. ;)

lyrics: crickets playing hide and seek with the moon, who's taking the lead. our dreambell floating further, over and past this colourfull scenery.//maybe we should turn around, stop messing with these illusionary grounds? what if it blows up in our faces? what if we don't wake up again?//a little swarm of fireflies leading us towards the vine. drinking soft greens of evermade fears. we are still sedated.

really like it!
those two main chords really represent darkness/fear and the atmosphere reminds me a bit of radiohead, which can't be bad :)

good recording of the guitar, sync is also okay

i like the sounds you used for kick and snare, but the beat patterns are less my thing, you could make them more idm'ish maybe, more variation... hats are indeed a bit loud.

maybe it can also be cool if you add vocal-layers like in taxidermists sunset.

anyway, really nicely done. i'd love to remix it if you want ;)

thnx guys.

about the hats; could be worked on...like, 5 seconds :D

about patterns: did this like analog guitar music, chamberlike post-rock or chamberlike rock, no idm'ish-ness intended at all.

about layers: second layer is done live exclusively ;)

(thnx for the comments barney stinson)

Wicked, love the slow "grunge" aspect.
bout the "too-loud hi-hat";it goes:"1,1,1,1,123 1,1,1,1,123" and so on ok...now, I would lower the volume of the hihat at "2" to give it a more manual feel, and less of a robotic feel.

Nice song, only requires a tiny bit more "suspension":)

HyeVolture [be] - 13 years ago
