kaoz - (R)Evolution

Description

i've always liked the LKJ-dub, so i tried a dubsong of my own, just for fun...

weak spot is probably the bass which should do more 'walking', althought i've tried to get its sound right... any bass-player who feels like replacing this, is welcome...

i don't hear LKJ in this, its less organic and reminds me more of 80's dub... which is not a bad thing ^^

i like the bass alot, but the percussion, beats, delays etc are a bit to rigid for my taste...

good track!

yeap, it's pure syntetic... reason...
the beatz are indeed not completely dub... there's a little hiphop in it...
i didn't mean to say this was supposed to be LKJ-alike... it's just an influence, what happened next is completely my own style, i guess...

good dub track !!

for me it's good as it is, who cares if the beats aren't traditional dub rhytms, it's cool, thumbs up

its good to have your own go at the dub blueprint, thats what its all about for me, (ab)using the technical side of music production as a true instrument... (and deep bass ofcourse ^^ ) in that sence its the first popular music genre where producers became true artists...

it's not the fact that there not dub rythms in a traditional way that bothers me but the rigid feel of it, especially the delays that seem to be, not changing and constant in sync with the song tempo.

i agre with you Kornie, specially about dub delays, its a kinda 'triolet' delay, means on a 4/4 beat you send 3 delays takin the place of 4 hurrm no easy to explain in english but dub delays are not synchronized as a 'normal' delay . here its no dub delays, but i got to say i like it anyway

thx ppz!
yes kornie, i understand your argument but at first i've tried to get that typical dub-delay which i thougth was 3/4... but switching the rev7000 to 1/4 or 2/4
(i forgot, i have to check) sounded better at that moment...
don't get to deep hey, just 4 fun...
maybe it's all about (R)Evolution

Good song, nice flow, something different this time, didn't know you're into that stuff, surprising to say the least. I still enjoy my old YellowMan cd from time to time :)

Cocain may blow ya brain
but the sensimillia is irie ;)

the guitar triplets (is that how you call it?) are nice, it's really got the dub feel for me, I have a friend who would really be blown away by this type of music. The voices fit in nicely, but it's just a bit repetitive/long maybe?

Really dig those breaks like e.g. around 3'30".

I should be drunk as hell to fully enjoy this I think, it's like listening to Aphone's Substatik Funk track, when you're drunk it really soothes you to sleep, great.

I really like this song, but (as Rabauw said) bit repetitive in the end maybe. Thumbs up
