Rabauw - Tyrannic Order

Description

My usual cybercocktail; groovy guitars, atmospheric synths and my typical vocals. Your honest comments appreciated!
Cheers!

----------------------
It started with a promise in make-belief
And all the fake smiles sucked us into the greed
And we had a taste of the power and might
And for our naivety we will burn tonight
We shall burn tonight!

We got stabbed in the back and we were left for dead
It’s been our fate all along and it’s a common fact that
In this hideous world we had but one thing to fear
And that’s our own stupidity and incapacity...

...To react! To respond!
To the trap that sprung!
To free ourselves from the tyrants!

We shall burn tonight!

We’re forced into a straitjacket of thoughts
And we swallowed it like it was all we ever wanted
They’ve breached our confidence, our gullibility
They got us cornered
Our backs pushed against the wall

To react! To respond!
To the trap that sprung!
To free ourselves from the fucking tyrants!

    i like it...
but i'd change the basskick sound, after a while it gets a bit too much imo...
i think sometimes it's a bit too present in the mix...

for the rest only good things jump into mind, so big up mate !!

    niiiiiiiice!!again!!
yea you did it again nice work on the vocals and composition rabauw :) only thing: the bassdrum which hits kinda fast each time, i think it's nice, but not all the time :) gets a litlle annoying after a while...
Apart from that i got a load of positive comments: first of all, your melodic work!man it's just great, really makes me think of a rock-band of which i don't know the name :)
the guitars also very nice, some nice background filler and there you have it: again supertrack delivered!!
quality producing ;) Cheers mr rabauw

very very nice, but indeed, the kickdrum has got something which does not absolutely please me... if i were the one who made this, i'd make it a little deeper, but bearing in mind that i too do whatever i like in my songs, i would even apreciate it more if you'd simply say no, and why :D (besides, nice fact that i'm able to actually move this comment-window, while listening again) very nica track, even after a second time. i'll add it to my fav's :)

Well thank you all very much!

@distreality/Dehomunculus: About the bassdrum; I've had many people wondering about the sound of it before (also on other songs) and to be frank, I've tried it many many many times with a different kick in different settings, and for me this is still the one I like the most and which I find the best fitting, so yeah of course I'd use the one I'd like the most myself! ;) But thanks for your honest criticism, it's what I want.

@transynth: thanks for your massive support dude! Really appreciate it! About the kick hits: this is quite normal for this kind of music, not sure if you often listen to rockbands that have this pounding rhythm but it's quite normal in the genre, mind that the drummer usually plays double bass so it's far from unnatural a rhythm ;-)

@crocodilebedo: thanks! But I honestly don't see any parallels between this and Manson and I don't like his music at all in fact.

@sincha; didn't know you're into this kind of music? :-)

you win :) arguments accepted :D spreekt voor zich. hell. you already won.

Funky [be] - 17 years ago

Yea..The one-man-metal-band strikes again ;) Really cool to hear this genre made entirely electronically... Typical Rabauw style & voice indeed... Must say that I also 'dislike' the fast kicks a bit in some pieces..They don't have that 'natural' sound just yet...But you're really close.. But hell yea...who am I to say.. It's not my everyday genre I listen to...so don't mind my comments to much ;) Grtz

crolerbedo [be] - 17 years ago

Well, the parallell between that "guy" and you was just about the voice (well, the scream ;) ) but of course it's nothing "good"...there's a true feeling in your music and lyrics

Rabauw [be] - 17 years ago

Thanks Croler, reallly means a lot to me. (about the feeling)

@funky: Yes I DO mind your comments, because they come from a person I respect and because I know they are honest. Doesn't matter whether you often listen to this style or not, I take note of every useful/honest comment I get. So cheers!

    muha !!!

kaoz [be] - 17 years ago

u know i'm more into the 'oldwave' than into metal, but if someone can open my mind some more it's definitely you!
i can feel a revolution coming from your lyrics!

one critic: i really don't like fade-outs, i'm sure that if you would keep your voice going while the music fades out, you're gonna have a stronger ending (imo of course...), know what i mean?

DeHomunculus [be] - 17 years ago

i have this song on my mp3, and agter a few listens, i too love the kickdrum :D

quioui [be] - 17 years ago

    heh, electronic metaltrash! great experiment!

maybe put your vocals a bit more more upfront.

I like it ! thumb is up!
    take care

ziggy [be] - 17 years ago

i'm sorry, when it's too hard, i find it a bit ridiculus...

Rabauw [be] - 17 years ago

    Hahaha lol, okay... :)
So maybe it's not your style, I respect that, no problem, but "ridiculous" because it's too hard? Hahahahahahahaha... I'm sorry but that makes absolutely no sense at all ;)

I always prefer honest comments, so if you don't like it, just say so, I have no problem with that. But things like "ridiculous because too hard", really it makes no sense.

But great comment though, really made me laugh, so thanks for that hahaha!

transynth [be] - 17 years ago

indeed, and on top of that, it's not my style also i don't really like listening this kind of tracks, but i know this is objectively spoken a NICE rockstyle track with lots of energy...so again, good work rabauw, and please ziggy try to put some usefull comments ;) Grtz

RedVade [be] - 17 years ago

Rabauw [be] - 17 years ago

Well I just look around me and I find lots of inspiration to write about...

Thanks! Yeah I know not really your style, still nice you can appreciate some rockwork. Cheerz to you!

TalkyMist [be] - 17 years ago

    Like it also ...
Its just the very repeated beat that disturb me, for the rest its all good !

reaman [be] - 17 years ago

still no label that wants to contract you? How's that possible... Great composition once again...

Rabauw [be] - 17 years ago

hehe, I think labels prefer real bands ;)
Many thanks for your support though! Glad you like it.

yenneman [be] - 17 years ago

Aaah...good old Rabauw-style (I actually missed this during my absence).

Powerfull opening I must say! And again great lyrics, yes...

At some points I get an Amon Amarth-feeling. Strange, isn't it :D ?

Rabauw [be] - 17 years ago

Amon Amarth? That's very strange indeed...

tumc [be] - 17 years ago

damn, digital death metal! too heavy for me to put on just for my relaxing pleasure, but, very well created. Has a full sound, playfull arrangement, and killer lyric. in its context it is sublime

DeHomunculus [be] - 17 years ago

really odd... this is in fact not my genre, but it IS my favourite ebel song... i'm listening to it on my HD as we speak! about the fourth time in a row... :D

Rabauw [be] - 17 years ago

Amai...I feel honoured. What I appreciate the most is that you open your mind to styles which you usually don't listen to... Truely respected!

HyeVolture [be] - 15 years ago

metal horns en nen dikke duim omhoog!

Anonymous [be] - 14 years ago

Hmm, I like it, but no more than that.
It may be because I listen to less metal these days, and that I've lost the taste for it. But, this is not one of your best in my opinion :)

    Cheers Rabauw,
