sorry but that muffle-shuffle beat doesn't work for me at all. it sounds way to cheap and beatboxy... i mean take that snare sound... auwch.

try a different drum sound, slice up a drum loop layer some stuff, eq, little delays... etc. needs a lot of work imo

same with the percussion...

no mastering is gonna solve that.

the intire track sounds waaaaaaay to far away and verry dusty.... sry mate.... but this way you at least know it, and now you can progres...

allrighty. it was rather some sort of experiment, but it seems a failed one :D i'll keep working on it though. cause i myself like it. a mather of my own twisted taste perhaps :D

maybe i'll forget the wish to make it sound old. and rework it in a new way :D

the ' far away ' thing would work better if you'd keep the rhytm part more upfront and less bassy and put big verbs on the background scapy sounds....

allways try to keep the punch in a mix like this...

hehe, i can dig this. straange vibe, but it doesnt bother me, though your intro for me is waaay to empty, i like your melo alot, has this nice fairytalish atmosphere around it ^^ i think this could be a killer track, its up to you ^^. but for the other comments, if you enjoy making you music, then its no big deal if other people find it crap ^^ as long as you have fun

i can see what you're trying to achieve but it's not working for me. you've tried to eq and filter the beat but not quite right. sounds strange but not vintage to me.
