Nice trip indeed! Really like the soundscape here it's very dreamy. An atmosphere wich reminds me a tiny bit of marumari. The vocals sound a bit errmm scherp, maybe it's because i can't put my volume too loud here right now.. Anyways very nice work :))

First track that I hear from you, I really liked the melody instrument and the atmostphere.
2 remarks only. It's a bit short, and I would have liked a bit of processing on the vocal to make it blend in with the music.

I prefer to be honest, like I expect everybody to be honest with me, that's the only way to make things better.

So :

The introduction is too long.
The voice needs effects, maybe also glitches (like funkstörung) ? That would be fine but it is not necessary. You have a nice voice but you seems to be afraid/ashamed of the mic ... lol, shout your "hoop", whisper your "herinnering" like a wave. The mic will not eat you.

Nice sound textures, nice ideas, but as you said, the sequencing was a bit disappointing but not a reason to give a thumbs down, nor a thumbs up.

I know you can do better, so, when you get some time to work on this, it would be fine to achieve it. Meanwhile, put this track in ICZ ... ?

Aia, your being so negative mate, i think the silent words give the whole a claustrophobic effect, something unconvenient yet cosy ( hope you can catch my drift somehow cause claustrophobics don't have much to do with music :D ) and wich **nt gave a thumb down without even giving a decent comment? Anyways, somehow this song makes me think of arty animation movies, caused by this subtle nice arty atmosphere, this song strongly brings feelings up. And if a song does, it's good no mattter what. (and marumari rocks ! )

not negative, objective, she can do better & she knows it, if she was plenty satisfied with this track she probably wouldn't have wrote that she was not very happy about the sequencing. writing something like that is like shouting for help.

Filmjolk,please don't touch it, it's perfect !!! The vocals are very beautyful and "warm". It reminds me the first time i heard Laurie Anderson ( long time ago, in the eighties, when she was experimenting with the first samplers ) And that little extra at the end of the translated text in English is that little cherry on the pie !!! :D
It's a little piece of music that suits perfect in an album to give the audience some air between more constructed songs.
Just leave it like it is and make some more.

...bij mij brengt herinnering helaas meestal de hoop naar een nulpunt.
maar een zeer sterk nummer dat me enorm raakt.
Als je er zelf nog niet tevreden over bent, en er nog aan gaat werken, kijk ik alvast enorm uit naar een tweede versie!
(deze word alleszins opgeslagen...ik zal hem vaak kunnen gebruiken)

chouette! une voix! i love when there is a voice into your music... what else?... everybody seems to love this track! i don't like to tell that kind of thing, but i'm obliged to admit that my tastes are just like everybody's tastes... (but i don't taste like everybody... enfin, je crois)

I have heard it a couple of times before, it's really really good...and those whispering, almost silent vocals near the end give me the shivers...I think you should use them more frequent throughout the track (maybe 4-5 times).

As for the endmix, I find the "hoop en herinnering" voice too loud, certainly since it's an ambient song. And maybe also some more reverb or a flanger on that voice cos the recording quality of the voice doesn't seem to be all too splendid (but maybe if you lower the volume of the voice it would already help you no end).
Splendid song for the lonely cold nights.

very nice...some of the sounds you use really creep up my back and give me a strange sensation: the combination of the sound of maggots or beetles or wathever together with the strings....like it a lot....(grtz phollox)

There are insects in my ears and tears in my eyes. It's a strange feeling, it doesn't happen quite often that I get emotional because of something this minimalistic...everything fits, it doesn't need a single change imo.
