TRaffik - Alien Threat

Description

Well first time I'm actually quite happy about a tune :D

Worked 10 hours straight on this one.

Odd thing is, I've been listening to a lot of the older/UK dubstep/dub/dub techno lately, as I was kind of fed up with the American mid range bass dubstep.
Yet i managed to pull off another brostep tune myself :p

Mixing could be tighter, and I hope to really finish this tune one day(that includes mastering!). I think i will update this post with future progress (if i make some that is).

Any feedback from you guys would be massively appreciated!

Enjoy :)

14/08 EDIT!
Fixed/changed:
-slight intro change
-second drop (I hope bricks will be shat)
-vocals better understandable + edit
-outro with WWII alarm
-reverb problem (i think)
-slight mixing fixes

Still to do list:
-Make it sound less sequenced(?)
-Mixing
-Mastering(?)

Tell me what you think!

wath's your secret? xD

TRaffik [be] - 14 years ago

Hey thanks for the feedback and ^ compliment :D.
Not sure i have a secret lol, it's all trial and error. Still have lots to learn. (I think i've been producing for 1 year now).

SEXTOY [be] - 14 years ago

I'm producing since near 2 years now, and I'm still unable to make a clean and proper track. My mastering still suxx as hell and I never finish anything..

So you got a secret for sure :P

Letrange [be] - 14 years ago

yeah cool tune.
Wooble are nice and agressiv.+++

But sounds like you put a reverb or something on the bass?? Cause you loose too much of low freq.
Normaly it's not good to put reverb on low freq if you want to keep the deepness/impact of the bass.

But what you kan do is split the all bass sound in two part low freq and high freq and leave the reverb on the high freqs and no reverb or just very little on the lows.

By splitting the the signal in two source you can keep that reverbed sound on the high and keep the power of the lows.

Or another solution is simply cutting the lows on that bass and bring in an other bass wich you cut the high freqs from just for the lows...

Hope you understood?

deff a Thum up.

TRaffik [be] - 14 years ago

Thanks again.
^^ Sextoy, you're too harsh for yourself. I think your tunes are well proper and banging stuff. I do appreciate the compliments :)
^ I've read about this frequency splitting technique. It always struck me as too much of a hassle and i just couldn't be arsed. But it seems it is well worth it.
I will consider the idea. Updated to do list. Thank you :d

Woh really nice agressive powerfull bass! make me moving dude, I like it!
I just don't really like the way it end, but keep doing, dubstep master!

Rambastik [be] - 14 years ago

Yeah great work ;)

Letrange [be] - 14 years ago

yess yess!
Second drop is xtra big!
Bass is way better.

Should give it a second listen tomorow to be shure, but I think some drums elements are maybe too loud in the mix or their eQ are abit too harsh in the highs or something.

Anyway downloaded to HD!

Keep them coming man!
Big UP

Thanks Letrange. Really glad you like it.
Think i will give this tune another week of listening, then try to get it mastered. (I will try this thru tutorials, or maybe someone can help me out? :D)

SEXTOY [be] - 14 years ago

A big big hudge fat thanks to you. I was so frustrated by the quality of your last track that I worked hard to produce a TRaffik like shit.

And that's done with my new futur track : FUCK THE PRESETS ! (coming soon, since that moment, I posted it on EBEL in ICZ, waiting validation) (or here http://soundcloud.com/sextoy/fuck-the-presets)

So keep inspiring me dude ! :3

TRaffik [be] - 14 years ago

That's awesome to hear SEXTOY :D I like a little healthy competition, as it can inspire ppl to do great things.
I will give your track a listen tomorrow, since I'm on laptop speakers atm.
Cheers :)
