O_o!!!! this track really blows my hair off!! it ROOOOOOOOCkS!!!!!! idd, maybe a sax would be veery koewl! but are there any synths that can simulate a sax that good? or will u hire a pro-sax-payer?

cestqui [be] - 19 years ago

thehehe,well could work out

i have to spin my funky un-commercial house on the beach in nederlanths, with live saxofonist, and he's even belgian nationalety, been there ,played with him, asked him already, only a question of time
keep them comming ,those comments,thx

reaman [be] - 19 years ago

I think the saxlab vst is the best option for now. It's a free download on http://www.linplug.com/Download/download.htm
very usefull full working demo. Try some things out and you'll see that dutch/belgian saxplayer will surely fit in.

djsennahoj [be] - 19 years ago

If music was fruit, this would taste like strawberry. :p
Fingerlikkin' atmo u've created here...
A very simple rim-pattern could alter a lot though, in a good sense only if it's a gentle, subtile plop placed on the right place at the right time.
It's the first time i really cant say much.. so i'll keep it to this: Keep bringin' them on ! ! !

Funky [be] - 19 years ago

Yeayea C'est-Qui... Soundz nice again.... But will have to relisten this evening on my better speakers... I'll let ya know...Greetingz

>>> Yeah...sounds even better here @ home :) Like them rhodes chords & those trumpet 'drop's... Thisone's got potential... I'm curious what will become after a few 'edits' ;) Good job!

firefrog [be] - 19 years ago

i didn't tought you could make it better..but then again, you are c'estqui ;) it is majorly good!!!

StevenV [be] - 19 years ago

Like the sound. Good work on the Rhodes.

I would buy this track if it would come out on vinyl. Will fit nicely in my record bag :)

comment below ;-)

eddie [be] - 19 years ago

ok, since you seem to want critical comment from me... here we go ;-) the following is of course just my opinion;

*rythm = basic, but just appropriate for this kind of track (so good)
*strings and trumps = not good (they sound much to 'easy' for me)
*rhodes = main melody is ok, fancy rhodes melodies you put on top are not Ok (they sound too easy, not convincing) also timbre of rhodes is not optimal.
*bassline = very very nice one
*mastering/mix = as usual in your case this is pretty good.

So as you see, I think there are some good elements, combined with bad ones... I think you should focus on a more minimalistic approach of your tracks. Use a very basic structure and don't try to make things too fancy.
... seems my opinion on this track is a little different then the other ebel members here...

kr,
eddie

cestqui [be] - 19 years ago

well, that's good commenting, only iff i knew what tiimbre is

all bad elements you put out,are very right, worked even out a warmer bazeline, more realisme in those strings(combinator),and for those rhodes ;;;hmm your the specialist i trust your opinion(do ya mean the solo)

this has to be perfect,so in order to become perfect,'i all need your ctritisme at max

thx in advance,greetz,thx eddie

alcassandre [be] - 19 years ago

alcassandre [be] - 18 years ago

nice song...

spootnick [be] - 18 years ago

i had some shivers alright, because the song is so much better than i first expected.. nicely done i would say..
maybe the violin could be replaced by a sax, just a suggestion...

Funky [be] - 18 years ago

Really like what you've done to it! Them rhodes melo's kick ass... Keep up the damn good work!

firefrog [be] - 18 years ago

let's see, what shall i say? even more better? now, it has a very clean sound...wich i like!! superb melo's!

liquidbass [be] - 18 years ago

great song dude...
even if it lasts 8:00 there's no boredom coming up!
******ongoing and steady bassline with nice breaks, walks and roll downs...
******beautyful strings; wonderful moment when they stop at 4:40
****** very nice chilly jazzzzy piano

again, great song... dude go on like that!!!

eddie [be] - 18 years ago

*bassline - nothing to add
*mainrhodeslevel= fine
*piano= what an improvement with the first rhodes melody? you feel this yourself I think right? Still not completely convinced of them; but really going in the right direction. What to change; well your melody uses like the 2 highest octaves of my keyboard. If you really want something 'playfull', then fall back to like the 2nd and 3rd octave sometime.
* rhythm= you play too much with cymbals/hats. soften them up.
* sax= effect is nice on it, but perhaps you should use them less in the track?
all and all, a very nice track you made. Its still up for some improvement. But with some more reshaping I think you have your first successfull jazzy deep house track.

grtz,
edd

cestqui [be] - 18 years ago

yep,thx to all
,good point about structure, have the feelin i have to start all over agian on build up,with the new elements in it,and cut from it a ,non -stop groovin unborin deephouse, after the break it falls to bits and peaces,

as usual,i ad a period of resting time to this project,to get more opinions, and to give my brain soms rest,

nethertheless,a good proof about constructive sugestions, and the musical impact it has on it,so keep on commenting sence, like eddy and some others,to get the general producin level on e-bel at a higher level, thx and untill the next upload(elkhor>>that will be the 5 th,thats 4 comments average)

Cameron [be] - 18 years ago

nicely done, but to long. But I would turn the bassline a bit deeper (It's a bit like Kevin Yost, but the difference is the bassline)

Rabauw [be] - 18 years ago

So this is the classic song from the TOP50... hadn't noticed it was yours. Well I can understand why it's in the "hit list", must be (one of) the best I've heard from you so far. Composition is grand, well-thought, a genuine "idea" not just some jamming around. The bassline at the opening took me down the stream right along. The song flows so nicely, the female voice having just the right effect on my senses.

I just wonder... if the piano shouldn't be replaced by some vibras? And maybe a deeper bass?

Okay, so this is deep house, but I guess you would rather see this listed under lounge...

Take care and enjoy the weekend! ;)

mooie plaat man

Jeller [be] - 17 years ago

bass is very nice, but in the beginning it sounds a bit strange when repeated a lot.. but hen later it develops very good!

i like your sound a lot, very chill atmo.. nice violin in backgroudn here and there and some very groovy pianos and synths in it.. the mix is ok but the sound isn't 100% clear yet and some sounds sound a bit fruity i think..

don't misunderstand me, this song is very nice and one of the best i heard on ebel but you wanted it to be perfect so here's my review :)
