piotr - Strange Days

Description

Sampled the guitar-riff that plays solo on Strange Days by The Cure on their excellent album Pornography.
It's been mashed up by several effects pretty drasticly, so I doubt anyone would recognize it ... :p

indeed, didn't recognize it, and i know that album by heart :p

only thing, (personal taste) the riff is too upfront when you trigger it the first two times, triggers your compressor, and lowers the rest of the mix just after it, you can hear it raising ...
i'd suggest lowering it's volume slightly to avoid the hammering :)
(besides it made me jump)

yea you're right, should tweak the volumes of the different tracks & the compression a bit ... I'll look into it.
Thx 4 the comment!

wow, this is class A stuff! I think your basslines work well on the dancefloor... I like the schitzo guitar sample too. It fits perfectly in the groove. Grtz

30 seconds into this track and I was like hell yeah!!!!I like this kinda freaky shit, very yeeha!funny thing, found the pornography album yesterday in my room under a pile of old cds, listened to it, was once again quite impressed by the songs on it, and yeah, you can't recognize the sample!!but maybe the track needs a bit more variation, after 4 min I wasn't that hell yeah anymore....but still, nice one, would kill the dance floor I reckon.

to bad the beat is just the braintease preset that comes with ableton live...

its a good beat, i like it too ^^

if you manage to mash up the guitar samples so much why not do the same with the beat?
