Description

Take One of a special homage to the recently gone bankrupt Monopol retail chain - a Luxembourgish institution that is no more. They were known for their extremely polite all-Luxembourgish female staff (rare in a country where most shopping is done in French, the lingua franca of retail) , and the samples are supposed to reflect the period of transition between the Franc and the Euro, when customers were given prices of items on both currencies. We have since lost the samples as they were made on-the-fly with a Kaoss Pad 2. We haven't quite managed to recapture the silly spirit of the original samples we made on that day, and so this is one of only two takes we have for now. Beats come from the Rave-O-Lution 309, and you can also hear the odd tonal intrusion from the Alesis Air-Synth.
