antares - Mind the Groove

Description

This a bit an experiment, cause i never made something like this. It's techy, groovy electro-house. It crunches sometimes because of overlapping freqs but i can't seem too get that right. there's no intro, but i don't think thats neccesary
Enjoy, and leave a comment :)

It grooves nicely indeed... The different elements fit perfectly together... Personaly I like the 90's (bell)synthsound a bit less.. The one you begin with... But works well lateron combined with the other elements... Thumbzup!

this drumloop is rather obvious as well no?..that doesn't make this song less good for me (sound design, mixing and mastering is what's counting) therefore i don't understand your point what's wrong in using a loop? 90% of sold music is based on it..you should know that.as long you give it your personal touch it's ok.loops are just tools..anyway nice song

antares [be] - 15 years ago

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with using loops, but when i use them, i slice them, and use the sounds from different loops as oneshots to make to make new rythmical structures and stuff (if you did that with our song, forget my comment on it ;)) It's just that because the loop you used was a bass +beat loop, i emmediatly recognised it. But there's nothing wrong with that, your song is great, i just think you can make an equaly good, or better loop yourself (you have the skills).
No hard feelings...

offcourse, no offence from my side either don't worry.as you say, slicing loops and making own personal things with it is something totally common in music production, we all know that
