DeHomunculus - Rejoizz

Description

in order to compensate the darkness represented in "tiny pieces glued together, i made this. tons lighter, brighter, ... a mix between jazzy stuff and triphop. ain't yet what it should become, but the idea is allready there.

hmm, for me the drums are a bit too chaotic, but the piano is nice :)

The cymbalhats are bothering me a lot while listening to your track,i'm trying to concentrate on the music..Piano sounds cool idd, could fill it up with some background pads, for the rest your bassline is overcompressed at 2.20 (tot en met :) ) but the idea is prety good!Keep it up.

the drums are meant to be chaotic, so i concider this a mather of style :D
i'll try to re-EQ it a bit, making the bass less compressed and the cymbals a little more. as for the pads, i just recorded some early in the morning streetambience to add to it.
thanks both!

Hmm... okay for the idea and the melodies (especially pianolines are smooth and fine).
I have some difficulties with the endmixing and vision of production.
If I were you, to really have it sound light and bright, I'd cut back on the bassfreq of the kick drum. Then, put more reverb on your whole drumkit, kind of have it sound as in a big club. Don't use the second snare anymore, but stick to the first one. In this song, the drums don't have to be so much on the foreground. Especially if you're gonna decide to keep giving the drummer that much LSD :)
Piano is nice like I already said, and the clicking I hear during the piano solo gives it a genuine old vinyl feeling.

Thumb up for the composition but I'd prefer to hear this in a different mix.
