maybe some tighter masteering and eq, specially eq...

some elements sound a bit ' dof ' , so cut out unwanted frequencies and it's done imho...

Hah, nice scattered drumming. I always like that. Just beware that you don't overdo it. You're playing with the crash cymbals a little too often.
Cool happy-vibe song though.

A blues guitar would be nice here maybe, kind of a dub/raggea riff mixed in the song. Might work out well. I don't know for sure, as I haven't composed any nu-jazz myself up til now, but the way I hear it in my head it might sound right. Why not give it a shot? ;)
