rool (ntk era) - t minus (apollo version)

Description

after posting nothing but old amiga-stuff, it's time for something brandnew. i've been home sick these past few days, so i needed something to entertain myself with... this resulted in my first minimal track.

i really tried to make something for the dancefloor out of some very simple ideas, like the part where the lower frequency of the basskick is slowly removed just before the snare and hihats kick in.

this version contains the conversation during the descent of apollo 11 onto the moon, but you'll only hear the recordings of the ground-station in houston and not the 'eagle'. during the flight a yellow caution light came on, stating that there was first a 1202 and then a 1201 program alarm (both computer overflow), hence the last words you'll hear: 'roger, tranquility. we copy you on the ground. you've got a bunch of guys about to turn blue. we're breathing again. thanks a lot.'

(composed with noisetrekker 2final - 126 bpm)

nice!
like the light-touch,goes cool with the voices.Has something Kraftwerk-like.
nice slow buildups.
good crunchy snare :)) the ending is a real dancefloor one.ow yeah.fonkaey!
I would consider doin a slower build-off, or fade-out

very catching track, love the minimalistic flavour !
it's also quite continuous, no sudden or abrupt changes in the compo, it keeps the flow going. good job on this compo. thumbs up

nice track... gets my head nodding and my knee shaking which is allways a good sign for a dancetrack. the only thing i miss is a clean, hipitched hihat doing a tik-tik-tik-tikedidik-tiktik... funky rythm with a lot of variation acompanying the (open) hihat on the counter-beat after the first 4bars that o.h. plays. you could even use a woodblock/claves type of sound.

pretty nice! not my kinda music, but pretty nice anyway :)
maybe make it more minimalesq, cuz its getting pretty filled up after a while.. and maybe a long synth on top or some more ambiance, like for example birds or wind or summn..
pretty cool!

Leftchest [be] - 16 years ago

Awesome awesome track...
Love the transitions though you could probably cut the (phone?) conversation at some earlier parts and then bring it back when the momentum is slower.
