CruizeOfFiction - Concrete Mill

Technoid meets Schranz 'n' Bass

Realy (realy) pleased with the result, sure it will bring the needed variation in my liveset this saturday^^

All sounds made by me (exept about 2 stabs in the background)
Synth made with the EX-096 which omnihoshbin was talking about (download: [URL]http://www.djodin.com/ex096/

Comments very welcome

aah nice!
very good when the beat kicks in.
the technoid is good, only my head after yesterday can't really cope with it ^^
great overall!

crolerbedo [be] - 12 years ago

like the sounds, except the snare, not explosive enough for me, it reduces the overall power...
Otherwise, well, very original stuff as usual (well i'm no dnb addict, but still)...

omihoshbin [be] - 12 years ago

haha sweet beats , though i'm not a fan of technoid. funny outro.

unbeatablelabz [be] - 12 years ago

yes, i enjoyed this song

Omyiga [be] - 12 years ago

I'm not really a technoid fan, but it sure is a party track
thumb omhoog

teebo [be] - 12 years ago

another great track, can't wait to see you live, (kvin da een vree schuifelend nummer, vraag mij nie waarom)

Skip [be] - 12 years ago

ow fuck yeah, uber fat again and....really like the electronic touch man!!!...arpegiotses,waarom nie.
nice detail work.
-Maybe play a bit more with the synth mel.;m'talkin' about some panning,or phasing/flangin' on it...just to create a bit more space.
...euh the snare is excelent here...
verry cool ending
great evolution in yer work kerel, uber'vet

StorungStelle [be] - 12 years ago

nice, really nice.

eeezzeepeezzeee [be] - 12 years ago

phat, 'schuifelend' is indeed the word. The only thing I need is a tat more variation in the arpeggisound. and yeah maybe somewhat heavier snare.
But great technoid, congratulations

Hoarax [be] - 12 years ago

supah nice!! Doubted I would go to the ebel event the 26 th, but if your going to play this track, I'll definatly show up !!! Snare As mentioned above could be a bit more nasty. But that's just mierenneuken. You really should work this new genre out. Has a lot of potential . Petje af

HyeVolture [be] - 12 years ago

except from some variation in your likewise beats I must say this is nothing new under the sun for me. This isn't saying this is a bad song. You still make those tight beats (snare sounds good to me), master them good, use the fx very good and make it a good full sound. I just miss something new in your sound, it's like I heard the most of it before.

particle [be] - 12 years ago

great, some technoid :)) very fat but i think you need some more variations after a while. but the concept is already zeer vettig !

HyeVolture [be] - 12 years ago

yeah well since I'm not a real connaisseur of the whole dnb scene I couldn't make a comparison with it. I compared it to your other songs. Technically everything sounds great as always though and it certainly matches your style.

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 12 years ago

true true, volture man...
allthough the style is a rather new direction for me, technically there wasn't much chalenging in it...
First I search how to make the drums sound even more schranzy then in "Amputate" (didn't take me long) afterwords I made that HH-ride (you can hear it in the intro quite clearly), which was the only real challenge. The rest went quite easy...

But it's not becouse a tune is practically writes itself the result is less inovating... I'm realy pleased I created a result which is quite pleasing... And I'm not the only one who thinks so, since a couple of dj's allready asked me the 320 to play it at parties^^

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 12 years ago

@ particle: about the variation: fact is that lots of dnb tunes that take 6 min can be compressed to 3 or even less. The reason why the tracks are that long is for mixing purpases... Same for those (often) dreadfully long intros. In this song I intentionally shortened the intro to keep the lot more binding to the listener.

thnx for the comment bro, appreciate it

Kreyz [be] - 12 years ago

first : good goins , def more schranz then amputate.
I know the base of this is techno (offkey)but shure could use more variation in some way. I'm also missing some build during the main part , more like a qlimax within the track like let's say global chaos by spl (altho that's a different subgenre youknow).
but imo this track wil work just fine in the sets. keep it up man

transynth [be] - 12 years ago

Hmm, not convincing at all for me this time.I must say i enjoyed your previous tracks BIG time but this is too fast and chaotic for me.Well reading the comments i guess i'm the only one not enjoying this, so don't mind my opinion too much..Grtz

Kreyz [be] - 12 years ago

ow and good mastering! soundin really clean

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 12 years ago

thnx for the comments you all, appreciate it...

Erophin [be] - 12 years ago

nice experiment imo ... bassline coming in mid song 2.00 doesnt stay... some fat basslines would be welcome, kinda missing ... would make it whole ...

Skip [be] - 12 years ago

nonkeer naar geluisterd, mega beestig nummer feitelek.

icteder [be] - 12 years ago

reminds me somehow of the older prodigy rave stuff. good dancefloor not really me style but i could enjoy this on the floor

MWE [be] - 12 years ago

nice!, pro sound!

Akwalek [be] - 12 years ago

mjam, lekker stijlke in ontwikkeling... i like this expriment, tho i thnk it could be worked out better, some uplifting need to be done, an exploding climax, some earlobe twisting beat shizlle, screaming voices,... tho i praise the bizarre rave mood u created...hihaa
