CruizeOfFiction - Al-Nakba

Description

Darkstep meets IDM..again^^

I got the inspiration out of the outro I made for parental guidance (the sinemill) I just took it and made an entire song out of it. Realy pleased with the fullness of the sound, the drop and the general vibe. So in other words: damn I'm proud^^

Title refers to the genocide in 1948 when the Israelian people illigally founded the state israel and purged the local palestinians.
I thought it fitted the threatning vocals and the break between IDM & Darkstep: in just one year (al-nakba means: year of disaster) the palestinians lost everything. Out of the blue.

I like to point out this genocide is forgotten way to much, but that doesn't mean I do politics. I'm not trying to refere to the current situation in the middle-east as it is, according to me, to complex to just take a side. Ppl tend to forget the many aspects of conflicts....
and besides making music with political opinions in it is for douchebags like those U2 fags

All sounds made by me
Synths, bass, pads,...using the opperator

Vocals from: The matrix reloaded

very cool and tight effects you made on the beats, I really like that, besides that nice da ge weer melodieen gebruikt!

particle [be] - 15 years ago

ho yes very cool, this idm darkstep works better than your previous for me
and how! some very cool parts in there hombre, dreun dreun!
lekker strak
x

HyeVolture [be] - 15 years ago

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

(eerste mel. heevd iets koopkeno-achtig,cant help it :)) )
cool cool, real cool
and cool how you use the first notes together with them breaks.
One thing I would consider trying, is ,when the melodies play together with the breaks;make the whole melody sound dissonant...and when the melo plays without the breaks, then it would play as normal...alé juust ne thought azo.
fat-ass motherfockin' track

expected some vari. at 04:06, but a few bars more couldnt hurt eigelijk.
Oo, nice drIlDM ending, swoe-iet

MrBadMonkey [be] - 15 years ago

nice

Mnemonck [be] - 15 years ago

'the many aspects of conflicts...'

thumbs up

LeBelgeElectrod [be] - 15 years ago

Great ! :o)

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 15 years ago

@ Mnemonck:

@all the others:
Thnx, good to know you enoyed it^^ & thnx for the tips!

sporsmaal2 [fr] - 15 years ago

SEXTOY [be] - 15 years ago

Don't ear anything make me thinking about any genocide or dramatical event here.

The melody on the back seem's to be some dreamin or psykedelic ambiance.. not sad or horrific.

The breakz with that typical snare "POW" that we can ear since Limewax and Dylan tooks the monopol of DNB style make me a bit sick. It's like there's no more DNB without that snare.

The good point is that you make your sounds yourself (may be why it sounds a bit cheap). It's very neat, proper and clean. May be too mutch.

Didn't felt the vibe but it's not annoying to ear.

I'm just a noob, I only use samples and noob software, but I liked DNB before I started producing tracks, so I give my opinion as a DNB fan.

I have eard some stuff you made that was particulary better than this one.

Anonymous [be] - 15 years ago

Always the same samples for your breaks since your song "borderline",I don't here anything new whith that one than IDM elements
and as sextoy said, don't understand the link with genocide of israelian people
Don't like your new style because I don't have the feeling to ear a new song but just modification of an older song you made
tout callé quoi !

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 15 years ago

link with genocide:
Great-brittain leaves palistina, and all of a sudden the jews call out the state israel...

balanced pressure, innocense in melody, then kablaft tageda tageda... palistinians raus

"everything that has a beginning, has an end, I see the end coming, I see the darkness spreading"=prelude...

I think the link realy is there

about the breaks: yep, realy like those breaks but I layer them differently every time. I'm just real proud of them. Aw yeah but the breaks weren't in borderline but they were in Parental Guidance & Convicted (though used & layered differently) and yes there are a shitload of resemblances to parental guidance, the use of differently skulped sines, the basses & even the breaks. But yet I think it sounds different, but yeah, same style/vibe

I also want to note out that I made those breaks myself, so not just "some samples". Carefully layering different hits on top of eachother, making tiny differences by slicing different hits, pitching, Eq-ing, compressing etc etc. Its not done in an hour... Lots of work, and hell I'm real proud of the way the sound, smash etc etc. Therefore I can see them as a sort of trademark. Just like DJ hidden uses the same breaks over and over again, but he should, when you here those breaks you just know its hidden^^

so comments deffenitly apreciated, I can relate to them^^

cheers

hmm, ok ja ge recyclet veel, ma drie thumbs down voor dit lied da snap ik ni zo goed. mijns inziens is da hier weer een politiek spelleke cruzer en zijt gij wa de stijn meuris van ebel geworden :D (zie stijn meuris als man achter "het gesproken dagblad, en als da geen belleke doet rinkelen moede da maar es vragen). over de cleanheid lijkt het mij nochtans duidelijk dat deze song zeer clean is en dat hij niet zo cheap klinkt als sextoy meent te zeggen (vrij vol voor dergelijke dnb). duuuus: never touch that conflict again my man :D

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 15 years ago

eatme [nl] - 15 years ago

Very nice pounding darksteppish IDM tune. Cool breakbeats and nice mastering / sound. Absolutely enjoyed! Peace - EatMe (nl)

Tjahzi [be] - 15 years ago

i like the way your going with your latest songs, it isn't all wapatsjakarakakaka anymore (i like that to you know ;), good to see you evolving) , really like the melodic elements, think you should try to mix them more often, maybe, if possible even with the harder parts!
really think that could work. enjoyed your song stijn ^^. good mix and breaks as usual, peace bro (:

(al basht ge niemand met uw opinie, "grijs" zeggen als ge zwart of wit kunt zeggen is vaak genoeg om wa thumbs down te lokken ;) )

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 15 years ago

Paranoized [be] - 15 years ago

I like it!

And btw, nothing wrong with recycling... Its your own shit, so youre free to do with it what you want. But people who say: "Muhmuhmuh zeik zeik recycleren is bad..." are CLEARLY on a low production level, those are CLEARLY the people who spend a WHOOOOLE 6 hours on a tune and think its a finished product... (You catch my drift, cruz)
Oh yeah, to SEXTOY: Ejay is NooBsoftware, Magix musicmaker is noobsoft, garageband is noobsoft... But calling fruityloops noobsoftware? I suggest you go read the manual, check some tutorials and make the conclusion YOU are the noob, not your software.
kthnxbye
Oh, and i love you dries, and the posters are done, they look awesome.

HyeVolture [be] - 15 years ago

ZoOlR [be] - 15 years ago

I think you could use more new breaks and creative sounds even if it's clean and proper...
Your first songs were better.

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

Letrange [be] - 15 years ago

yoow!

I wasn't really into your IDM trip on the other one but this one is reaally nice! I would enjoy a all track of these nice pads and glitching stuff!
And it works really good under these heavy trash tight breaks (Allways impressed by the tightness).

But from 3:33 to 4:15, it's too repetitiv, I would add other breaks(or just put back some breaks from the begining between it).

Nice man!
ding ding 1Up!

teebo [be] - 15 years ago

ma verder, echt very good work, thumps up

Anonymous [be] - 15 years ago

very very nice

WanBushi [be] - 15 years ago

I found it acualy very surprising. Like the way you go from intro to the hard stuff, I d say give us more of this idm darkstep shizzle.

ok just to be annoying, maybe your big ouch snare should be a little less loud if you compare it to the other drum sounds.

Voxcoder [be] - 15 years ago

ggood and original i like it.

Freakywrath [fr] - 15 years ago

nice one again ! i've listenned you're last composition & you've got your style but as it was said your sound is maybe too clean ( add more punch & distorsion for the tekstep part )
anyway great job !

KaZaN [be] - 15 years ago

great sound
love your commenting

Kreyz [be] - 15 years ago

still controling the elements ;)
I like the idm parts verry much ... the darkstep is a little chaotic for me but I get your point , keep it up

phollox [be] - 15 years ago

Damn this one is great i already told you. First of all a big finger to all the naggers comlaining about the 'recycling' thing, if all those guys would spend as much time as you on making their own homecoocked, sliced and eq'ed breaks they would be a lot more quiet lol. I like the intro a lot, breaks sound slick as hell and it's maybe not your ultimate best track ever made (as if every track you produce must me mindblowingly new..) but a very good one i think. So both thumbs up!

phollox [be] - 15 years ago

haha and how can a song sound 'too clean' :) funny thing to say (no offense ^^) a bit distortion can be cool indeed but it's not neccesary in this track i think..

Omyiga [be] - 15 years ago
