Description

Atmosferic build-up, then a fake drop, then some kickassbreaks & subs... lots of details in this one

pleased with the result worked long on this one. Happy its a song with content (unlike the tight, hard, rechtenduure, blik op oneindig & hakken shit like I made lately)

this one is in the same line as krakatsk... as in: technically a lot of work and a big atmo folowed by strange hardhitting breaks & kicks

All sounds made by me (exept the 909 kick which I reskulpted a bit and used)
vocals taken from "Mulholland Drive"

90 kb/sec version

comments welcome, hints tips ect ;)

EDIT:
-added some percussion for more variation
-changed the atmo melo during breaks
-some details in the vocals
-added a bass in the atmo for more feeling
-general mixdown (bit more high, subs less loud)
=> this along with some other small details
you might not here any of this, since it are all details. But the details are known to make the difference
real happy with how it turned out^^

nice as usual.. intro could use some more ambience sounds with lots of reverb and stuff, maybe some variations in the melodyline (which looks btw a lot like a really old jungletrack i think by grooverider..)
and not that i have the best setup to give an exact comment on that, but there's too much bass (in the subs) allé my boxen waren hier aant kraken van teveel..
and the last two mins where u play more with variations in ze beat, are reall cool
especially those countercymbalcrashes (at 4.40) great hehee

low bass doesnt bother my system, luv it. and cewl contrast with the cymbals.verry cool pumping effect.
And the padz give that jungle vibe.
a bit long, maybe idd, add more atmospheric and /or meloduc elements to fill it.

Will take a look at the bass, might habve pushed it a bit to much (in mn onbezonnenheid)^^
Might give the atmo something new. Problem is that its allready got a buch of different synhts in it (main pad, 3 stabs (little synhts with delay) + a subtile apergiatorsynth in it). So don't know if can fit more in, soundwhise, maube some violin's or cello
will deff look at it
ow and about the length: have to agrea, kind off surprised when I looked at the length myself. But it leaves more room for mixin' I guess (goe excuus wa^^)

good one, idd lots of details, good stuff. I like the more atmospheric stuff you make. nice cymbals, really create some extra effect in your song. bass sounded heavy, but not "too" on my headphones, so I would say maybe a little (but really a little) less sub.

About the song yeah totally COF style again, and with that I mean> A great piece of music with A soundquality so pure, that takes you on A trip between evil & good.
you can think it's An easy piece of darkstep but when you listen & listen
you understand what's behind all the thinks you hear.
I think it's A song that much people will enjoy just becuse the phylosofy behind the song,
A clash of evil & good thought's in everybody's mind.
The never ending dilemma between the good & the darkside.
Maybe it's becuse the special K but

good track, eentje met diepgang, intro is weer smullen gelijk gewoonlijk, fake drop is echt heersen, kijk ernaar uit om hem eens live mee te maken. Er zitten verder echt lekkere elementen is maar het is vooral de atmo die mijn aandacht trekt, voortreffelijk gedaan, de geluidskwaliteit zal er inderdaad veel mee te maken hebben. Algemene vibe zit er dus lekker op. zou er alleen ietske over mogen naar teinde. topie-track *duimpje*

t coole aan diene pad is da het zo doet denken aan heel oude dnb songs met van die wijvenstemmekes en raggapeten die zo female achtig "oh oh oh" zingen, maar dat het toch darkstep is. den bass klinkt al stukken beter en de rest klonk al goe, dus prima edit.

ja ewel, kben nu ook wa aant opzoeken. kende boymerang niet.
Inderdaad zijn er overeenkomsten, wat ook mn bedoeling was om wat terug te grijpen naar zwoele pads. Ma kvind mn breaks toch ietsjes steviger/creatiever kwa sound in tegengestelling tot die typisch gesamplede breaks van in de tijd... (waarmee ik dus NIET wil zeggen dat ik het mijne beter vind^^ gewoon zelfde idee, ma toch iet anders)

maar ik beschouw het allesinds als een compliment^^ want dienen boyemerang is echt nog vangen (zeker voor '90's jungle stuff een erge eigen sound)
