yes ,all kinda short, especcially the second part of the second piece I think.
Might rework it.
@ Erophin;next time I wanna try something much more...bombastic and at same time moving, with an incredible vibe, with a gigantic climax...epic is the word...hm, yes, ill try that...

I have a preference for the dramatic kind.
Sweet and dark melo. It make me feel creative ^^

i d say the mixdown of the second part is strange, the beat is too upfront and the EQs are strange to me, the 3d part is the best for me the intro is great to... very impressive work menneke :)
Skip [be] - 16 years ago
Ill check on that
Thanx for ze listening!

part one:
meeslepend tot en met, epic, drama, great sound for movie or documentary
part two:
excellent percussion optimstic vibe at the beginnning, verry joyfull idd
didn't expect the heavy moody strings tho' that seems a bit contrastrerend at first but then when the percussion and beat are going and the strings come back in (different played or something?) the elements come together.
overal nice balance between contrasts (sounds/moods)
part 3:
great coherence between percussive elements, blowers, choirs and strings.
again music good food for film reclame enz
met zone try out zou'k wreed blij zijn
good job as always but different!!!

the scond to a little squirell who wants to be recognised by his brothers or something like that
and the final is very peaceful & dramatic
so nice stories & atmospheres perfect to go back on the road after a party

2: beautiful strange melody, nice emotionally contrasting strings... weirdly comforting... not sure about the contrabas, but nevertheless excellent track. make it longer.
3: doesn't really do it for me.
i actually think the first two would fit nicely together if you'd let them fade into eachother...
anyway, a lot of words just to say i like it a lot.
Skip [be] - 16 years ago
Ill try to mix the first with the second one to see, and leave the 3rd one out on the next edition, I honestly had my doubts on adding it to the 2,especcially because of the down-atmo as an outro....not that good.(didnt really wanted to admit at first, but ah well)
..."weirdly comforting"
and yeah, I couldnt resist to boost the rythem with some homemade percussions and contrabass sound (most instruments used are from the Hypersonic(1) vsti ,real real good one imo)
thanx for listening

especially when the drums start, it all comes together in that part. a journey to happy happy land :)

However, I find the whole thing sounding a tad too midi-like. What software/patches are you using?
And to answer your question: I made "no in, no out" entirely in Reason 4.0, used the "orchestral sound bank" allmost exclusively, be it that the coppers and the piano sounds are from seperate Refills.
crolerbedo [be] - 16 years ago
Well first part was "comme une lettre à la poste", nothing to say, nothing wrong but nothing remarkable either (regarding your other works).
Second sounds too naive so that I could appreciate it... sounds are really cool though, evolution too, but didn't touch me that much.
Last part is the best for me, I was hoping you'd go for a big ending (yeah something epic) though...
But good work, very impressive the way you turned to something else with such success.
Skip [be] - 16 years ago
second part sounds maybe naive, but for me,making those "happy" kinda melodies/vibes is a way to get out of my pescimistic side,I make it to feel better myself, wich is verry hard to make, especcially when you feeling down, but sometimes it works,(same goes for my chiptune-stuff)
I make a vibe I would like to be in.
and sorry crolerbedo;next version will not include the 3rd part...
the initial idea was to post 3 try-outs,and next version will be the final version of the second one, together with the intro(first one)...
