Skip - Panther Pete

Description

Final update;
more bass,
more basslines,
adjusted some mid. freq'z
and lowered the bpm (200 to 190) for all you heart patients out there

Genre: Melodic Hyper-Rock with drills à la Skip.
The track evolves ultimately through 9 parts.
Last part suggests a follow-up or an even longer version
Still verry simpel elements, only a few effects and automations

Yiééé-hauw!

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

thanx, used Slayer(1) Vst.Will try to make it realisticker for next verzion.
Or play it on real guitar....hmmmm....

dialekte [be] - 15 years ago

with a vst like guitar rig over you can make it sound more (true guitar)

wicked track. tzaligste stukske voor mij is rond 55 seconden, efkes volledig spacen, kzou da mss nog keer laten terugkomen en uitbouwen. nice experiment!

Omyiga [be] - 15 years ago

Aangezien dak zelf gitaar speel benk wel redelijk anti-fake-gitaar-vst's en pro-zelf inspelen buttt that's some crazy shit you did with it (en ge zou al ne redelijken zot moeten zijn om die solo's te kunnen spelen;p so that's an advantage) so euh dikke thumb for the experimenting and the melodies! really cool

Tjahzi [be] - 15 years ago

wicked stuff!
the skip rockband, i dig (:

alkaloid [be] - 15 years ago

great! i like this band! good melo's and everything as usual man ;)
also for electronic rocks it works great ! ( normally not such a fan of dance'n'rock style things )

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 15 years ago

you'd have to take a lot of stuf to play that fast^^

its a cool track, but its the first time that I mind the mix of one of your songs..

still hura for creativity^^
amazing how you keep re-inventing your sound within different genres

Gautché: too mush speed, kill the speed
i like the "line up", structure and melo
i dont like ........speed....... :))
but + 1

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

HAhaha, but the speed refers to the energy I need to boost myself with optimisme.
+ no sh in there Roland, but freedom of exprimation is allowed offcourse.

rf061992 [be] - 15 years ago

Mmmmm I am not certain that the speed leads(infers) the energy. But it's all one debate....... :))

dikke kus man

randomuser [be] - 15 years ago

i realy enjoy it as it is, maybe coz im a drummer at the begining and did listen a lot to slayer opeth death and shit

anyway, wtf is this end ? it lacks a real end !

but the track is great, i realy realy like some breaks with drum/guitar

Tjahzi [be] - 15 years ago

nice improvements! (changementen)
i like

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

thanx dudes.
@randomuser; yes, its an "open" ending,I didnt want an end-of-story ending...more something like "to be continued-ending...(?)
@Harry pippons;I mostely focused on sharpness and euh...tightness (strakheid) is probably why....I wanted it raw.
thanx for ze listeningz

HyeVolture [be] - 15 years ago

particle [be] - 15 years ago

wow, nice edit man, really, what an improvement to the sound! killer!the only minor for me is the snare, the rest is sublime, congrats!

particle [be] - 15 years ago

goh alhoewel tvalt wel mee ze die snare ma mss verschillende snares gebruiken, allez tdoet er nie toe => dijk van een nummer :)

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

hm....ghebt wel een punt.
k'kennet, zelvde snare langs de hele track is soms wa teveel, dees zit zowiezo nogaltij in men, "nog aftewerkenmaechtvreebijnaafazo"-map.

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

ur quality is swingin' through the roof!
screamin' bitguitar for the win!

HyeVolture [be] - 15 years ago

op kettel voor da veel te klein publiek op uw moment, zo tussen alle ISM (intelligent sleep music) door (no offense, ma zo ne gansen avond van dienen chillen miss jynx enal, kviel soms ver int slaap :p), efkes headbangen, ja de skip, schoon afgewerkt (ge hebt zeer veel geduld met uw nummers, wss omda ge zo ne perfectionist zijt). mooi zo!

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

ah thanx kerels,preciate it.
(fff,ja kzeget weer; diene line-up toen, was ik nie verantwoordelijk voor.)

Erophin [be] - 15 years ago

metal idm dnb, sure a genre that is worth exploring. Wow that bassline realy woofs here^^ Lot of variation, and suprises, skoon gedaan! De moeite waard om met echte gitaren te vertalen, de slayer? klickt soms ewa speelgoedachtig eh^^ wat hebde gebruit voor de bass? die klinkt vet^^

FrigideBarjot [be] - 15 years ago

woWw coool track man

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

@ pal Erophin; yes Slayer offcourse é, Im not shure Im readdy to play all those melo's myself on the old electric guitar-case but Ive been thinking about it,
The bass is the simpelest bass plugin ever,"VB-1" I think, uber simple but pretty good bass-emulator,not much variation in sound...there ,readdy to make your own hyperrock track :))
yiii

Tomastar [be] - 15 years ago

Really like the mix between heavy guitar (à la slayer :)) )and dn'b beats (or skip 'n bass)
Nice one!

tumc [be] - 14 years ago

like te digi guitarworks and baslines, all is very playfully programmed, the chords accompagning the end are good too. The beats suit the track,i'd only try choosing other percussive samples, but this is merely a matter of taste i guess, thumbs up

Skip [be] - 14 years ago

éy thanx man.

FatBill [be] - 14 years ago

Ola,
Nearly Really very very very good song. Other comments already speak about your guitar, why don't you duplicate the riff with another sound to rise it? My idea is that you've got all your elements, but you could reach more energy and deep with a better mastering. So now i continue to listen your other tracks, thx for your work

Skip [be] - 14 years ago

thanx for listening
wich sound should I duplicate the guitar with?
The thing is that with a fake guitar you can do all riffs you want, I dont know anybody who could play this manually.

hennoxlane [be] - 14 years ago

Liked it a lot, but since I play the guitar myself, I can't really say I love the sound of your synth guitar..

playing it on a real guitar on the other hand really wouldn't be all that hard though.. it's definitely playable, think I could probably manage.
The thing you should worry about though, is that the sound of the whole song would become completely different and probably less "tight"... Cuz when I say it's playable, I mean it would probably not be as exact to the tempo than the synth... nonetheless, you could give it a try =)

Skip [be] - 14 years ago

:)) m-hm, I understand,if guitar is manually played ,there would be a contrast of "programmed" elements and the "non-programmed" guitar...I think.
Played myself years ago for pretty long time. (check my track G1 :)) simple example of my style back then )

NotAnameYet [be] - 14 years ago
