Idd try without any beats,what synth did you use ?
nice those layers of different instruments.(I use edirol orchestral and hypersonic1 for classical instrum..)

i agree, the beats stand a bit appart from the rest of the composition imo, maybe you could introduce some electronic elements and gradually let it become more electronic?
