Carbura - Four weeks off

Description

Dear boss, I won't be able to show up at work. This for the next four weeks. Hope u understand.
Oh yeah!

Ok e-bel, this one's to celebrate my so much earned free time.
Only one bass-line with a good evolution in the melo. You'll see. I 've got to find something to replace the rev. ride. It doesn't fit. U got the main ID.
Enjoy and fire away them comments.

cool,most of the melo's, i like,but not the pad-like(when it goes higher)

the shaker is a bit to loud, and stands alone in the arangement,it needs some kind of answer,i loved the rev cymbal, nothing wrong with it,but its not the tasty structure,i'm used to,of you

the more trance you make, the more i seem to love it,its the trance that i like(real extreme atmo)

big up,4 weeks to go,make something good out of it,greeetz

yeah, really cool song! altough i hate trance... must be because this track isn't trance but progressive house, which i love very very much!!!! i agree with sikkie

Guess I'll never pick the right spot for my songs. I guess this lends more to trance then house.

firefrog [be] - 18 years ago

well, there are many peolpe who mistake between trance and progressive house, because it sound is a bit similar. the difference is that progressive house is still underground (not commercialisated), much deeper than trance and far more dreamy. altough it has "hosue" in its name, its sound is far from house. some people call it "progressive house", others "progressive techno", and other others call it just "progressive"...
as a little guideline: compare dj tiesto to danny howells or peter novak and you'll hear what i mean!

I love some of the sounds you use in here! song needs some volume adjustments. I dont mind the rev. ride but I would stereo echo the reverb of that ride.

i really like the track altough near the end i seem to be waiting for something that doesn't come, the pulsewave melody is good, and it goes up an octave, but its screaming for a supersaw sequence to balance it out (short notes, with at least an octave in note difference). as for the rev ride, maybe u can put a snareroll on top of it, to "announce" it

Djerem, wich style do you think it is? You have to know I grew up in a metal enviroment. I just like to make music but seems I'm not into all these style stuff. Before I started (jan 2005) I knew trance techno and about 15styles of rock/metal. So if you want to correct me please do it in full flavour. Like firefrog f.e. It's not because he says it's progressive house that I'm sure now. Cestqui says it's trance. So who's right?

kiande [be] - 18 years ago

indeed progressive house. smooth deep and clean sound. the shakers are a bit too upfront, i'd put them someplace more subtle.

cestqui [be] - 18 years ago

firefrog is a young gun, theheheh(he knows the actual styles better then we do)

i would not hear it either,if its prog house,or just progresive..

i just hear trance influences that i particular like,so dont wind up,on those styles

its much better then in the begining, when ya posted it under techno, that was a more troubeling fact than now

like i sugested,play more ,un-usual genres in your truck,there ya hear it sub-consiancely,and is the best way to learn the feelings,that go with a certain genre;

like it told ya before, your hart is in the wright place,so its just a matter of training,...

i'm sure nowadays,ya havent got any trouble, riding your truck in reverse in rc rugge, but i can imagine, how it was in the beginning.

focus on the music,we will guide you ,through your phaze

greetz, hope the weather is on your side, during holidays

cestqui [be] - 18 years ago

hey,now that i think about your rev cymbal??

do ya know, that in reason, its possible to reverse any sound,so....

i know ya like that rev cymbal, but try something diffrent;(that way ,ya are not stuck on the available rev sounds)

if ya dont know the method to do so,just mail me

greetz

well carbura... i'm a metal-boy too and all those genre don't mean a thing to me... i hear you've made some beautiful sounding music and that's what counts. All this labeling ennoys me a little. I know it's not funny to hear a rock song in a techno section that's why it's necessary to have some clue about the genre. What i do is sending the link of the not-yet-authorized song to some users and asking their advice about the genre. Keep up the good work.

Carbura [be] - 18 years ago

That's a good id... And maybe I'll PM zark to add a 'progressive' genre in the music list.

IsSeN [be] - 18 years ago

it sounds real nice, although i think the basses are a bit too deep. the sounds proffesional, it's a good one!

if anyone doesn't has any F*cking clue about all genres of electronic music, visit http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html
and soon your knowledge about it will be heavily expanded ;)

ow yeah, btw: indeed those shakers are bit too loud, but apart from that superb song!!
and euhm..i just saw that you also live in kortrijk==> nice to have someone from the neighbourhood around :D

people always bitchin about genres...
...and in the forums always complaining about commercial stuff...
Well... genres are just a way to find something faster in a record store, it's those guys who make up the genres to make there jobs easyer and make more money!! (= comercial!!!)

People here should just stick to wat's important; This is a great track! period!

;)
