IskaRiot - Judas\' regret

Description

ambient try-out
i'm new to this style, trying new things and such, expanding my horizons is something i'm planning to do in the future, allthough i my main genre will remain breakcore.
nothing much, a kick, a snare a synth or 3, lots of fx... the result of a soundskulpingsession.
all done in reason 4.

so ambientlovers, please tell me if i'm going the right way here. if there are any general rules/formaspects i should respect, really enjoy making this stuff.

EDIT: longer (more then an intro this time) couple of synths added, with FX offcourse. last version to appear in 2008 (blok enal). final version to be expected early 2009 ;)
owyeah, seems like this moved to experimental, so experimental lovers let me know what you think ^^

owyeah, akwalek might be remixing this, something to look forward too

particle [be] - 15 years ago

pretty spacy^^
i'd watch out with the low bass, it's way too crunchy right now
melo reminds me of BOC +

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

but i like it crunchy ^^
but i'll try and make it more subtiel

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

CruizeOfFiction [be] - 15 years ago

like the crunchyness,gives texture.
The background industrial kicks are great, reminds me to the Terminator 2 soundtrack (!!!) wich Im big fan of.
If you want to make it reeeaaallly ambient-like, you should/could slow it down for 1/4 of the tempo it is in now.
Try do little fade in and out of certain effects,so youll have something to fill it with if making longer.
nice try-out dude.
Rocking Prof.Pic btw :))

hi Mate,
nice try out I guess :D ambient is not really my cup of tea but I like it,
yes I do I do .
specially that crunchy thing
peace bro
yoooo

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

so we got pro's & contra's on the crunchy stuff, too bad for the contra's ^^
i agree with skip, it gives texture. without it it wouldn't be that whole or something. so i'm prolly gonna leave it the way it is, maybe turn the disto a little tad lower, but i def won't take the edge out of it.

add some reverb on your pad in the beginning. pff, fuck da engels, reetechille track :d. doe mij peinzen aan Lugubrum, black metal groep uit lovendegem die af en toe soort middeleeuwse ambient tussen hun gitaargeweld steken. een fluitachtig iets zou vree passen erin. u geluid kan wel wat beter, ma da leerde met de tijd wel tschijnt. afwerken die handel!
grtz.

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

even more reverb? damn, allready got reverb all over the place :D

AnnoM [be] - 15 years ago

hmmm, some filtering then.... it's just a bit to motionless i think. however, this remark is muggenzifterij, ur track is nice as it is now.

jeroenM [be] - 15 years ago

crunchiness is great... this is good stuff. work it out a little more and it'll be very nice

Skip [be] - 15 years ago

fat update
I would fade out the indus. kicks and let the melody play on its own at the end.
could also fit in soundtrack style, (not because of the T2 comparison, but because o the ambient and experimentalness init imo)

danke fellow ebelianen, producing would be a whole lot duller without you ;)

bp: amazing what 3 synths and a lot of fx can do hu? was kinda surprised myself ^^

StorungStelle [be] - 15 years ago

nice experiment, and your going well on that good atmo.
don't follow the rules, make them yourself.
is the only thing i can say.

IskaRiot [be] - 15 years ago

hehe thanks, not following rules got me moved from ambient to experimental ^^

StorungStelle [be] - 15 years ago
