reaman - Gentle decline

Description

Lost track from the Moon Safari album by Air...

It should be in the space section (if Ebel had one)

Don't miss the carroussel near the end...

(I clearly messed it up in the mastering. )

what is that wurli-piano doing,played out of time,even out of tone;

now, i count 3 chords,may be add 1,so ya get 4,then the transition from 1 chord to a other is not that strange-)abrupt;

strange music,all i can say,mastering is not even a issue in this stage;

i hope for you,you get it worked out some day,greetz

no no no man... im a bit dissapointed, ya ve got superb elements and you dont use them... most of the sounds need more work (bass, strings, WURLI...) more cohesion more feelinz.... but ina way this out-of-tone-notes can bring a special mood , but not like this... i would like to hear more reverbs delays more pan some phaser or whawha you know... this could turn into your best track for me but ,hell , not that way ... Keep it up Marcel Patoulatchi :))

i don't talk about mastering You know yourself where it's wrong but i really like your originality in this track but it needs to be worked out
great elements but as aphone says not coherent in sound and feelings
Just work it out a little

ok, i heard it too
when trying to equalise with soundforge i changed some instruments too and that i shouldn't have done without listening before rendering.

this sounds very much like rubbish although it could become a hell of a song (as Aphone confirms...)
will leave it as is for some time to get other comments... then i WILL adapt this version and attach another one. Promised. (Krokusvakantie)

I'll even drop the carroussel and keep it shorter and simpler thus more effective.

Being a big 'AIR'-fan, I could't wait to hear what you've done with it... And I hear were you're getting at, but as mentioned before, some elements aren't quite there yet...Imho offcourse... The end is really more darkish then de beginning...I liked the more positive mood... Maybe you could try to put an 'Annie'-like beat on it... That song reminds me a lot of AIR. Anyhow....Tripple A for the effort....But not quite there yet imho... I want more of this genre ;) Nice man! Grtz

you don't expect it anymore after all these comments but... i like it
nice out of tune organ. nice prenouncement of the bass. it demands a complex mind to make en comprehend it. reminds me of the ebel user: nicojonius

however, I would say to you: it's no air. imo nice work.

edit: i'm not saying here: I'm a great mind by comprehending it. ;)

I'm a bit left in the middle about the opening part, but all the rest is quite alright. Not your best, but still above average here on Ebel. I appreciate your will to experiment with out-of-tune instruments. In fact I think it suits the bizarre character of the song well. There's a big difference between going out of tune out of complete ignorance, or playing out of tune deliberately through experimentalism. In this case it's definitely the latter, that's crystal clear.

Anything outside the square deserves credit. Music is more than just a set of mathematic rules (compiled by old farts long dead now), it's also a manner of expression and emotion, let's not forget that... It all depends on the style of course, but here it works well.

Lest ye not forget... disorder is natural.

(and I don't mean "den omkoopchinees" Zhe Yun Ye :D)

Hey, Rabauw, after having some negative comments on my previous songs i'm really glad you liked it. To be honest...I was kinda looking out for your comment (among some others)

Hehe ;-)
No prob man! You upload, me review :)

I'm honoured to be in your "review-want-list" :). If possible I try to write more than just "nice track", but how does it feel? And does the music live up to its conceptual purpose? I ask myself that kind of questions...

"Nice track"...well, it's a nice comment, but it's not much of constructicive criticism. Even if I write negative comments, they are always meant as constructive criticism (and completely subjective :D).

like the strange organ in this one. it has a very warm accoustic vibe to it . sometimes the strings are a bit too overwhelmingly present. but the 'pitch' that suddenly appears in it makes up for it ! jup , i like it :)
